Bicarbonate of soda neutralises odour-causing bacteria, while arrowroot and kaolin clay absorb moisture to help you feel comfortable throughout the day. Many people find it works well for their activity levels straight away; others notice it takes a little time to get the best results as their body adjusts. Applying to clean, dry skin gives the best performance.

What is an adjustment period?

If you're switching from a conventional antiperspirant, your underarms may go through a short adjustment phase — usually one to three weeks. During this time, your body rebalances its natural processes. Some people notice increased sweating or odour at first; this is normal and typically settles as your skin adapts. Staying well hydrated and reapplying as needed can help during this phase.

I have sensitive skin — is bicarbonate of soda safe to use?

Bicarbonate of soda is a naturally derived ingredient used in small amounts to neutralise odour effectively. Most people use it without any issues; however, skin sensitivity varies from person to person. If you have particularly reactive underarm skin, we recommend doing a patch test before first use: apply a small amount to the inside of your wrist and wait 24 hours. If you experience persistent redness, itching, or irritation when using underarm, discontinue use. If irritation continues, we'd suggest speaking to a pharmacist or GP.

How do I get the best results?

Apply a thin layer to clean, dry underarms. A little goes a long way — there's no need to over-apply. If you're new to natural deodorant, give your body a couple of weeks to adjust before judging performance. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat to keep the texture at its best.
